Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse position in Danville, Virginia. This role involves providing acute care in a busy emergency department with a focus on delivering quality patient services. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population and adhering to clinical protocols within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid emergency nursing license or React certification, Bachelors degree in Nursing, minimum of 5 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting, and certifications including ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS or ENPC. Candidates must be located at least 60 miles from the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: Extensive emergency room experience, previous trauma care background, and competency with electronic health records such as MedHost (ED) and Meditech.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, as needed.
• Additional Information: Orientation sessions are held bi-weekly on Tuesdays. The facility is a 31-bed emergency department with a dedicated trauma level and offers comprehensive services including surgical, cardiac, and behavioral health care. The unit serves patients of all ages with a patient ratio of approximately 1:4.
