About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join their legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel on a wide range of matters, with a focus on health care law. This includes but is not limited to, health care regulatory issues, labor and employment, contracts, medical staff affairs, corporate governance, clinical and basic research, and various other legal and compliance matters. The role involves interacting with service line leaders, hospital presidents, and other members of the legal department, as well as negotiating and documenting agreements to support the company's legal, regulatory, financial, and operational objectives. The Associate General Counsel will also be involved in training and presenting on legal topics to employees and medical staff. Applicants for the Associate General Counsel position at the company should have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be a member of the Pennsylvania Bar or eligible to waive into PA. A minimum of 5-10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in the area of health care law, is required. Knowledge and experience with the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law are essential. The ideal candidate will have a background in a large law firm setting, and experience in clinical, health care administrative, or other highly relevant work experience may be considered. The role demands a professional with strong communication and facilitation skills, the ability to work on complex legal and business issues, and a commitment to the company's mission of providing superior service and care.
