JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the development and verification of truck electrical and electronic systems for the North American market.
• Perform software and hardware updates on prototype and test vehicles.
• Conduct system verification activities for electrical and electronic vehicle functions.
• Perform root cause analysis and fault tracing for issues identified during testing and validation.
• Capture and analyze vehicle data, electrical measurements, and CAN communication logs to support troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with development engineers to identify, implement, and validate corrective actions.
• Support the build, modification, and maintenance of test vehicles for engineering verification activities.
• Create and maintain detailed problem reports for identified system defects.
• Support road approval and validation testing for vehicles operating on public roads.
• Provide technical feedback and recommendations to both local and global engineering teams.
• Maintain and update fault tracing databases and diagnostic documentation.
• Recommend improvements to verification processes, fault tracing methods, and vehicle build procedures.
• Assist with training, knowledge transfer, and implementation support activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial vehicle system verification and/or EE system design.
• Strong experience with commercial vehicle electrical and electronic systems validation.
• Expert knowledge of CAN communication protocols and CAN analysis tools such as Vector CANalyzer.
• Experience with automotive electrical/electronic diagnostic and development tools.
• Experience using vehicle controller software toolchains such as Engineering Tool and Prosit.
• Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and wiring harness repair.
• Ability to independently perform system-level troubleshooting and validation activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Ability to travel domestically within the US; international travel preferred.
• Bachelor"s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

• System verification and validation processes for commercial vehicle EE systems.
• Root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting methodologies.
• Vehicle network diagnostics and embedded system communication.
• Data logging, electrical measurements, and CAN data analysis.
• Prototype and test vehicle support activities.
• Automotive electrical architectures and controller systems.
• Cross-functional collaboration with engineering and development teams.

PREFERRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced proficiency with Vector CANalyzer and related diagnostic tools.
• Experience with advanced vehicle sensor technologies.
• Knowledge of vehicle road approval and compliance testing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset with process enhancement experience.
