Material Handler

REPORTS TO: Logistics Supervisor 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Position Summary The primary responsibility for Material Movement and Order Picking is to pick materials and parts for internal assembly operations and customer orders. This role provides a crucial link between Receiving, Inventory, Assembly, Parts Fulfillment, and Shipping. Attention to Detail and Sense of Urgency are critical soft skills necessary for success in this position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Efficiently pick materials and parts for internal assembly operations and customer orders using material pick lists Verify order fulfillment accuracy by comparing pick list documents to materials in a box or on a skid Package parts to meet customer requirements, including placing parts in boxes, applying labels, using packing materials Operate forklift or other material handling equipment in and around warehouse Perform work in accordance with Company safety rules and guidelines Follow department processes, procedures, and work instructions Other duties as assigned The above is intended to describe the general content of and the requirements for the performance of this position. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Previous work experience as an order picker or material handler Previous experience operating material handling equipment, i.e. forklift, hand truck Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings/prints, and procedure manuals.
