Occupational Therapist School Setting in Jeanerette, LA

Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Bring your expertise in school-based occupational therapy to a rewarding contract opportunity in a supportive educational environment. This position serves a caseload of 16 students ranging from PreK through 12th grade, offering you the chance to make a positive impact across various ages and developmental stages.

The schedule is thoughtfully designed for flexibility: you'll provide services one day per week. If you prefer, arrangements can also be made for one day every other week—perfect for professionals balancing multiple roles or seeking a part-time workload. Immediate interviews and onboarding are available, so you can step into this meaningful role right away.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist
Previous experience within school settings or with pediatric populations highly preferred
Ability to adapt interventions for students with diverse needs and backgrounds
Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and support staff
Organizational proficiency and attention to detail for maintaining accurate therapy documentation

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students on your caseload
Deliver direct occupational therapy services according to IEP goals
Engage with teachers and school staff to support students’ academic and functional success
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
Participate in IEP meetings and offer guidance regarding best practices in occupational therapy
