Housekeeper PositionFind your purpose in a Housekeeper position, keeping our facilities clean and safe for those we serve and those who serve them. All while kickstarting a great career in healthcare working with a caring team of coworkers in our Rice Memorial EVS department. Our team consists of around 30 amazing employees and a dedicated manager that works tirelessly to create a positive working environment where everyone can enjoy their work life. The Housekeeping crew is comprised of many veterans and a few new additions.Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in an assigned area as specified by a work schedule. This will be accomplished by utilization of a seven-step cleaning procedure. Housekeepers have daily direct contact with patients, and must have a good diplomacy with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.SchedulePart Time | 16 hours every two weeksDay shift | 7:00am-3:30pmEvery other weekend and rotating holidayPay and BenefitsStarting pay begins at $17.54 per hour and increases with experiencePay range: $17.54 - $23.20 per hourPart time benefits: medical, dental, PTO, retirement, employee discounts and more!This is a Union position, and you will be required to join the AFSCME 3296 Union within 30 days from start.QualificationsHigh school diploma preferred; must be able to read and write English.Must have basic math knowledge and be able to follow instructions.Knowledgeable about housekeeping procedures/techniques – will be trained on the job.Previous experience helpful but not required.CentraCare has made a commitment to diversity in its workforce.
