On call every 4th-5th weekend 7-1530 On call one to two holidays a year 7am-11am On call 4-5 weekdays a month until 1800. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse treatments and procedures that do not require overnight hospitalization We're Looking For: Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Candidates must have at 1 year of RN experience this position is not for new grads Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association Preference experience in procedural, ICU, L&D, ED or Med/Surg What you’ll Do: As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Provide nursing care for patients undergoing infusions, injections, and same-day procedures Treatment of chronic diseases (diabetes, cardiac, rheumatology) Administer IV medications, biologics, hydration therapy, and pain management injections Support minor procedures including: Large wound vac changes Bone marrow biopsies Thoracentesis Removal of lipomas Suture removals Joint injections Endometrial biopsies Procedures performed under MAC IV sedation Assist with Specialty Services - ENT and dental inpatient cases, including: Scopes, biopsies, voice gel injections to vocal cords, trach changes, eye lasers, and nose bleeds Procedures performed under MAC IV sedation Perform diagnostic monitoring, including lab draws Deliver pre- and post-operative care for procedural patients Educate patients on medications, symptom management, and chronic conditions Collaborate with providers and specialists to ensure coordinated care About This Location: Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center is a 938-bed, quaternary acute care community hospital that provides advanced health care expertise.
