Job Description
The Mental Health Clinician will:
- Assess and diagnose acute mental health conditions of patients presenting to the clinic or Military Treatment Facility.
- Provide individual and/or group therapy using a variety of evidence-based modalities.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness using objectives and measurable outcomes and make appropriate adjustments for increased compliance and efficacy.
- Maintain concise documentation of care and recommendations in patient's medical record.
- Provide emergency behavioral health services on a scheduled, rotating and on-call basis to patients during normal duty hours to include screening patients for appropriateness of psychiatric hospitalizations.
- Maintain full professional responsibility and individual accountability for professional decisions and actions (e.g., diagnoses, treatment recommendations and implementation).
