We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual with a strong carpentry background to join our team. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including general maintenance, repairs, and DC electrical projects, with a particular emphasis on carpentry work. The right individual will have experience with basic power tools and will be able to build simple wood pier pieces. The individual must have a good mechanical aptitude to diagnose and perform repairs on boat lifts. Experience with basic hydraulic systems involving 12/24-volt controls is preferred but not necessary. You will be a key member of our team, ensuring the quality and functionality of our customers' piers and boat lifts. Responsibilities Perform carpentry tasks, including building pier components, pier ladders, and stairs, along with various projects in other divisions within Gage Marine. Conduct general maintenance and repairs on boat lifts. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical and hydraulic systems. Complete other various projects as assigned. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Communicate effectively with clients and team members. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Requirements Proven experience as a handyman or carpenter. Knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
