General Shop Helpers
General Shop Helpers (3-4) needed for a machine shop located in the Irvine CA area.
This is a Temporary to Hire position. Hours are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday, with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch. Pay is $18-19/hr, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Will assist in running of CNC Machines and Manuel Machines.
- Execute the end-to-end assembly process, including: manual fitting of parts; transferring conduit from the assembly table to the cutting station; precisely aligning and cutting conduit ends; and performing inventory retrieval of required parts from the stockroom.
- Duties can be repetitive in nature.
- Clean up around the shop and the offices; consistently keep work area clean.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Position may require standing and/or sitting for longer periods of time.
- Other general labor duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year General Labor experience.
- Prior machine operating experience is a plus, but company will train motivated individuals who can learn quickly.
- Good hand dexterity for assembling parts.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $19.00 Per Hour
