Job Description

Job Title: School Custodian Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and reliable School Custodian to join our team at Primero Staffing. As a School Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our students, faculty, and staff. Your responsibilities will include: Key Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting, throughout the school premises, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
2. Trash Removal: Regularly empty trash bins and recycling containers, ensuring proper disposal and compliance with waste management regulations.
3. Restocking Supplies: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, restroom essentials, and other consumables as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
4. Floor and Surface Care: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces through regular maintenance and spot cleaning.
5. Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance issues or repair needs to the appropriate personnel, such as malfunctioning equipment, broken fixtures, or building damage.
6. Event Support: Assist with setting up and cleaning up after school events, meetings, and activities, as required.
7. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety protocols and guidelines, particularly regarding the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
8. Security Measures: Assist with security-related tasks, such as locking and unlocking doors and gates, to ensure the safety and security of the school premises.

Qualifications:

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform cleaning tasks and lift moderate weights.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment is a plus.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and guidelines.
