Nurse Next Door is looking for Caregivers who can work 10 to 40 hours per week (no experience required)! We have flexible hours in the morning, afternoon, evening, and overnights./ph3Job Description Summary/h3pA Home care aide is an individual authorized to provide nonmedical services and assistance to an elderly or disabled client. Care is usually provided at the persons home, or facility. Nurse Next Door affiliated home care aides shall be selected on the basis of such factors as a sympathetic attitude towards the care of the sick, ability to carry out directions, maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job. All affiliated Home care aides employed by Nurse Next Door to provide in-home care services will be 18 years old (or if under 18 years of age be a high school graduate or enrolled in a vocational education program) and have sufficient communication and language skills to enable them to perform their duties and interact effectively with clients and other agency staff. Home care aides must meet all registration, criminal background checks and training requirements as specified by the State of California Department of Social Services Home Care Services Bureau and Nurse Next Door policies./ph3Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities/h3pResponsibilities of the home care aide include, but are not limited to, the following:/pulliExecute the clients care plan as outlined by the Care Designer./liliHelp clients with their ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) that are within the scope of practice for a Registered Health Care Aide./liliAssisting clients with personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care, bathing and dressing./liliAssisting clients in and out of bed, transfers, positioning and assisting with ambulation./liliAssisting with prescribed exercises which clients and aides have been taught by appropriate health personnel./liliMeal planning and preparation, including therapeutic diets, and assisting clients with eating./liliAssisting clients to the bathroom or in using commodes, bedpans or urinals and incontinence care./liliPerforming household services including housekeeping, laundry, transportation, correspondence, making telephone calls, shopping for personal care items or groceries, and companionship./liliAssisting clients with medications reminders which are ordinarily self-administered./liliReporting changes in the clients condition and needs to the administrator or care designer./liliCompleting records regarding services performed./liliDriving to appointments or to run errands./liliAccurately records all hours worked./liliRemains alert throughout the shift in case client requires assistance, responds immediately to any such needs by providing the assistance required, or calling the Company for guidance./liliParticipating in all required entry-level and annual training requirements./liliMaintaining an active home care aide registration with the State of Ca. We Provide paid training and help you with the registration process./ppCompletion of a criminal background check and disclosure of any criminal history or evidence of exemption./ppEvidence of entry-level training or plan to complete paid training prior to client care and in accordance with CA regulations./ppEvidence of tuberculosis testing and verification that the home care aide does not have active tuberculosis./ppAbility to read and follow written instructions and document care given./ppSelf-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision./ppEmpathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired./ppDemonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene./ppValid drivers license and auto insurance and/or reliable transportation required./ph3Physical Demands/h3pRegularly required to sit, use hands or fingers, handle, or feel and talk or hear./ppRequired to reach with hands and arms./ppRequired to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and taste or smell./ppMust be able to lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move from 25 up to 50 pounds./ppSpecific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus./ph3Schedule:/h3pPart time/ Full time/ Weekend/ flexible shift available/ppCOVID-19 considerations: Masked can be worn if the caregiver feels safer doing so and will not be sent to any clients home that has COVID-19 until they are better./p/div
