Sales Solutions Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Solutions Architect based in the United States.

This is a strategic pre-sales opportunity focused on designing differentiated technical solutions for complex federal government opportunities.
You’ll operate at the intersection of business development, technical architecture, capture strategy, and proposal execution.
The role requires translating agency mission challenges into compelling, technically credible, and compliant solution approaches.
You’ll shape Concepts of Operations, end-to-end architectures, proposal narratives, demonstrations, and government briefings.
You’ll collaborate closely with capture, delivery, contracts, pricing, executive leadership, and technology partners to develop winning solutions.
Your expertise will help address major federal priorities including cloud modernization, cybersecurity, AI/ML, data, and digital transformation.
This role is ideal for an experienced federal technology professional who combines strong technical judgment with persuasive communication and capture expertise.

Accountabilities

• Partner with business development and capture leaders to engage federal stakeholders, understand mission priorities and pain points, and translate customer requirements into differentiated technical solutions.
• Lead the development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPs) that clearly explain operational workflows, system interactions, user roles, solution capabilities, and phased implementation strategies.
• Design end-to-end architectures for complex federal IT, cloud, data, and mission systems, ensuring alignment with applicable agency standards and frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, and Zero Trust.
• Develop technically sound solution frameworks that address customer requirements while providing meaningful differentiation from competing approaches.
• Monitor emerging federal technology priorities, including AI/ML adoption, cloud migration, cybersecurity modernization, digital transformation, and DevSecOps, and incorporate relevant trends into solution strategies.
• Research competitor approaches and identify opportunities to strengthen technical differentiation throughout the capture and proposal lifecycle.
• Build and maintain relationships with technology providers, platform vendors, and teaming partners, assessing partner capabilities and integrating them into proposed solutions where appropriate.
• Collaborate with program delivery, contracts, pricing, and executive leadership to ensure proposed solutions are technically credible, operationally achievable, contractually viable, and financially sound.
• Author and contribute to technical proposal volumes, solution narratives, CONOPs, and other materials for federal RFP responses and structured capture activities.
• Support or lead oral proposal presentations, technical demonstrations, and government briefings, communicating complex solution concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical evaluators.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or another related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive technical experience supporting federal IT, defense, intelligence, or government technology programs.
• Demonstrated experience developing CONOPs, technical approaches, solution architectures, and proposal content in response to federal RFPs and FAR/DFARS-based procurements.
• Experience working with federal customers such as DoD, DHS, VA, HHS, or other civilian agencies, with an understanding of their mission environments and technology landscapes.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or comparable environments, along with knowledge of FedRAMP authorization frameworks.
• Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity requirements and frameworks, including NIST 800-53, Zero Trust Architecture, and CMMC.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop persuasive and compliant federal proposal sections.
• Familiarity with Shipley or comparable structured capture and proposal methodologies.
• Ability to obtain or currently hold a U.S. Government security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business and mission outcomes for diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent collaboration, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, particularly in high-pressure capture and proposal environments.
• Experience as a capture manager, solution architect, or chief engineer supporting federal programs valued at $50M+ is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Expert, CISSP, PMP, ITIL, or SAFe are advantageous.
• Experience supporting IDIQ task order responses, including vehicles such as GSA OASIS, CIO-SP3/4, Alliant, or SEWP, is a plus.
• Background in AI/ML, data analytics, digital transformation, or DevSecOps solution development for federal agencies is preferred.
