Demand Planner Analyst

Kelly is hiring for a Demand Planner for a 12-month contract role at Cleveland OH 44102 with our prestigious client. Job Title: Demand Planner Primary Location: Cleveland OH 44102 12-month contract - On-site role Monday – Friday - 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Pay range: $34 - $38/hr Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and improve short- and long-range demand forecasts using historical sales data, customer input, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and business intelligence. Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Production Planning, Procurement, and Finance to build a consensus demand plan that supports business objectives. Monitor forecast accuracy, forecast bias, inventory performance, service levels, and demand variability; identify root causes of gaps and recommend corrective actions. Support monthly S&OP and demand review processes by preparing forecast reports, presenting key assumptions, and highlighting risks, opportunities, and changes in demand. Collaborate with supply planning and operations teams to align demand requirements with production capacity, material availability, and inventory targets. Maintain planning master data, demand planning parameters, and forecast inputs within ERP, MRP, or advanced planning systems. Identify potential stockout, excess inventory, and slow-moving inventory risks and work cross-functionally to develop mitigation plans. Prepare recurring dashboards, reports, and executive summaries related to forecast performance, inventory health, and demand plan changes. Drive continuous improvement in demand planning processes, tools, reporting, and cross-functional communication. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, production planning, sales forecasting, or a related supply chain function. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable plans. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting. Experience working with ERP, MRP, demand planning, or advanced planning systems. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and present planning recommendations clearly. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
