Overview Five Below is seeking part-time Sales Associates focused on delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales, and maintaining organized, well-stocked floors. This role emphasizes the ability to engage customers, perform checkout duties, and support store operations while providing a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers promptly: Approach and acknowledge customers, provide assistance, and handle multiple customers efficiently. Understand and meet customer needs: Share product knowledge, answer questions, direct customers to merchandise, and offer recommendations. Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability. Promote store events and promotions: Inform customers about current store events and promotions to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales. Resolve customer concerns: Address issues using product knowledge to offer alternatives, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible. Communicate needs to management: Inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner. Support team and company goals: Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives and maintain a positive work environment. Qualifications At least 16 years old Available to work a flexible schedule Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as cash registers, handheld and mobile devices) Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training Essential Job Functions Frequently operate cash register Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to 5-10 feet high Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in stockroom and on sales floor Frequently communicate with customers, managers, and coworkers in person or by phone Move across the sales floor to assist customers and manage stock room transfers Flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and possibly overnight shifts and travel as required Identify and discern email and printed instructions regarding merchandise layouts and standard operating procedures Remain in a stationary, upright position for up to 80% of the time Benefits For details on benefits, please refer to the official benefits site.
