About the Position

 The RN will be responsible for pre-operative and post-operative patient care only and will not be required to circulate in the operating room.
 RN should also have experience in admission and discharge

RN Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
 Pre-operative patient assessment and preparation
 Admission and discharge processes
 Post-anesthesia recovery care
 Recovery of patients following moderate sedation procedures
 PACU support and assisting as needed within the perioperative environment
 Patient and family education
Note: The department does not administer moderate sedation but does recover patients following moderate sedation procedures.

Requirements

Required Experience
Candidates should have:
 Recent Pre-Op and/or PACU experience
 Strong admission and discharge experience
 Experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients
 Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with varied specialties

Certifications Required
 BLS
 ACLS
 PALS
