As a Mechanical Engineer (SME) at JLL, you will leverage your extensive mechanical engineering experience and over 5 years of operations expertise to manage and optimize critical systems in a high-performance data center environment. This role is essential to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous operation of mission-critical infrastructure that supports our clients' data center operations. You'll apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex challenges, lead system optimization initiatives, and mentor technical teams while driving operational excellence. What Your Day-To-Day Will Look Like:

• Oversee HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems specific to data center operations, ensuring optimal performance and uptime
• Design and implement cooling solutions optimized for high-density server environments while analyzing and enhancing airflow management strategies
• Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules for all critical infrastructure, including conducting regular performance analyses of facility mechanical and electrical systems
• Lead root cause analysis for system failures or inefficiencies and implement corrective actions and system upgrades based on engineering assessments
• Propose and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and evaluate green technologies suitable for data center operations
• Manage complex data center infrastructure projects, including expansions and upgrades, while collaborating with equipment vendors and service providers
• Mentor and guide a team of facility technicians and engineers while communicating effectively with executive management on infrastructure status and improvement plans

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Work Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Must be available for call-in work as required)

Estimated compensation for this position:

59,400.00 – 72,800.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
