About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for Human Resources (VPHR) to lead the strategic vision for HR across the organization. The VPHR will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for all aspects of the employment life cycle for a large and diverse workforce. This role demands a mission-driven leader with a strong background in HR, capable of advancing a progressive, service-oriented, and business-aligned people strategy. The successful candidate will be tasked with modernizing HR policies and practices, fostering a culture of respect and inclusion, and ensuring the organization's ability to attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent. The VPHR will also be expected to mentor and develop a large HR team, and to serve as a trusted, data-informed, and high-touch partner. Applicants for the VPHR position at the company should have a comprehensive leadership profile, with experience as the senior-most HR leader in a complex, mission-driven organization. While not mandatory, a background in higher education is valued. The role requires a leader with a hands-on approach, capable of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, and who can lead through change with a focus on building trust and empowering a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong enterprise perspective, business and financial acumen, and a deep understanding of current HR best practices and emerging workforce trends. A bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree or relevant professional certifications are preferred.
