We're looking for a skilled, independent Phlebotomist to join an on-site health center supporting a well-established employer in Groton, CT. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who's confident working autonomously, comfortable with both adult and pediatric patients, and ready to bring precision and care to every draw.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 6:45 AM–6:15 PM (30-minute lunch, clock in/out)
- Location: Groton, CT (onsite)
- Position Type: Contract, 90 days (8/31/2026–11/27/2026), with potential for extension
- Patient Population: Adult and pediatric, ages 2 and up
What You'll Do
- Perform routine blood draws and assist with lab procedures
- Route lab specimens as appropriate
- Work independently in accordance with safety and organizational policies
- Assist with supply inventory
- May instruct phlebotomy procedures for new employees
- Collect and process specimens and assess patient vital signs
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient health records
- Follow all safety procedures and infection control guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
- Current national certification in Phlebotomy, or a Certificate/Diploma from an accredited Phlebotomy program with a completed hands-on externship (online-only certification not accepted)
- Current BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or equivalent) with hands-on training
