Bakery Role Scoop
Ready to roll in the dough? Step into a Full-Time Bakery Clerk spot at Brookhaven Market in Arlington Heights, IL, earning $16 to $19/hr. This onsite role keeps our bakery running smoothlyhelping customers choose the right goodies, keeping the case neat and tempting, and making sure items are packaged, labeled, and checked out accurately. What you'll do:
- Help shoppers with bakery choices, including ingredient and product questions
- Keep the bakery displays clean, organized, stocked, and correctly labeled
- Package and prep baked goods for sale
- Ring up purchases with friendly, careful accuracy
- Support daily bakery operations, including inventory help and product rotation
What you'll need:
- Must be 18+ to use the bread slicer
- Bakery or grocery experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Daily Bakery Flow
You'll start your shift as a Bakery Clerk by giving the case a quick once-overstraighten trays, refresh labels, and make sure everything looks "grab me." As customers roll in, you'll chat through ingredient questions, point out favorites, and box up breads, cookies, and cakes without missing a beat. Midday is a mix of ringing up orders, keeping the counter tidy, and helping the team restock what's flying off the shelves. Between guests, you'll check what's running low, rotate product so it stays fresh, and keep the display easy to shop. Before clock-out, you'll do a final resetclean, organized, and ready for the next wave of sweet cravings.
