In our dynamic organizational structure, the Medical Director will work in close partnership with the National Directors of their respective fields to drive process enhancements, elevate our care standards, and exceed discipline-specific professional practice guidelines within our ambulatory intensive care model. As a collaborative partner with the Practice Administrator, the Medical Director will oversee all medical center outcomes, including utilization, quality metrics, and the overall functioning of the medical center and its providers. This position is crucial for the success of our rapidly expanding organization and requires an individual who demonstrates energy, humility, clinical expertise, collaborative spirit, and strong leadership capabilities.

• Guide the medical center in delivering exceptional healthcare through a comprehensive "one-stop shop" approach within a NCQA certified Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model, alongside Complex Care Management.

• Establish and nurture relationships with health plan medical directors, local hospitals, specialists, and other entities to achieve desired outcomes and reduce care fragmentation.

• Oversee the team to monitor and achieve contractual quality metric objectives.

• Leverage technology and electronic medical records to maximize quality initiatives and operational efficiency within the medical center.

• Engage in multi-disciplinary meetings and propose treatment alternatives aimed at maintaining patient health or addressing ongoing clinical challenges.

• In collaboration with the Practice Administrator, manage the Medical Staff and other team members effectively.

• Work with National Directors to implement process improvements, enhance care standards, and exceed discipline-specific professional practice guidelines in our ambulatory intensive care model.

• Provide medical direction to the Medical Staff by reviewing current practices and guidelines, and implementing evidence-based best practices.

• Develop and execute strategic medical operations and protocols to meet the organization’s contractual objectives.

• Assess current medical operations and the overall functioning of the medical center to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

• Continuously enhance the quality of care and outcomes for our patients.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled physician, a strategic thinker, well-organized, an effective communicator, technologically adept, enthusiastic about working in an interdisciplinary team, and deeply committed to serving our medically complex and socially vulnerable patient population. A physician leader who can navigate uncertainty and ambiguity, work selflessly, and thoughtfully cultivate successful relationships with team members and partners is essential.

• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

• Valid medical license in the state of practice.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience managing Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial populations.

• ACLS certification.

• Capability to treat acutely ill patients in an outpatient setting, providing hydration, IV antibiotics, wound care, and other services.

• Familiarity with value-based provider programs, utilization management, and HEDIS quality measures.

• Long-term commitment to our organization.

• Board Certification in Infectious Disease or AAHIVM certification is highly encouraged.

• Advanced degrees (MBA, MPH, MS) or relevant work experience outside of medicine are advantageous.
