WH Bass, Inc. is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager. The APM will support preconstruction and construction activities throughout the duration of the project by supporting a team of Project Managers.

The selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:

• Assist estimating team in the bidding process and handoff of awarded projects
• Review subcontract bids for completeness, revise as necessary and negotiation best possible contract with subcontractors and material suppliers
• Set up project through proper accounting procedures
• Monitor a project schedule consistent with contractual requirements.
• Issue Purchase Orders for necessary materials
• Update project budget
• Prepare and review with Superintendent Job Start Package
• Conduct periodic job meetings during construction with appropriate parties
• Support Superintendent, assist with job specific procedures and adjust progress as necessary.
• Process required paperwork for both internal and external use
• Ensure that both Company and customer objectives are being met
• Process all required paperwork for both internal and external use
• Ensure a strong project closure by proactively determining and executing customer's requirements for “turn over”, completing all required documentation, acquiring all lien waivers and final payments.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management and a minimum of 1-2 years project management experience with restaurant, petroleum/convenience store, bank/credit union and retail projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organized with strong problem-solving skills. Computer proficiency in the Windows environment
