Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac activity and ensuring timely interventions. Supervises nursing staff and collaborates with healthcare team members to promote patient safety and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret patient cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
• Implement and adjust care plans based on patient data and clinical assessments.
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff working in telemetry unit.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop and modify treatment strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility policies for cardiac monitoring.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of practice.
• Possess a minimum of two years recent experience in telemetry or cardiac monitoring.
• Maintain current BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
• Show proficiency in telemetry equipment and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Possess effective communication and patient education abilities.
