Registered Nurse - Med surg General Surgical - Full Time Days

Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg General Surgical Dept Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: Full Time 7a-7p - Rotating Weekends/Holidays Department Highlights Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team 36 bed unit The General Surgical Nurse provides care to a wide variety of post op patients including complex gastrointestinal and abdominal surgeries and plastics related wound care cases requiring ostomy, drain and wound vac management MAGNET facility Level I Trauma Center Requirements Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required BSN preferred Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire

1. year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN Residency program
2. years med surg experience as an RN in an acute care setting preferred
