This role is designed for an accomplished civil engineering professional who wants to remain focused on technical leadership, quality, and problem-solving while helping shape engineering excellence across a wide range of land development projects. Unlike traditional management positions, this role is not focused on project management, budgets, staffing, or business development. Instead, the Senior Technical Manager serves as a trusted technical authority, providing expert guidance, quality assurance, and engineering leadership across the organization. What You'll DoAs a Senior Technical Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting project teams and maintaining Soltesz's commitment to technical excellence.Key responsibilities include:Serve as a senior technical resource for land development engineering projectsProvide expert guidance on site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway designPerform advanced technical reviews of engineering plans, calculations, reports, and supporting documentationAssist project teams in developing innovative solutions to complex engineering challengesAdvise on regulatory compliance and jurisdictional requirementsSupport quality assurance and quality control initiatives across the firmPromote technical best practices and engineering standardsProvide technical leadership and sound engineering judgment throughout project development without responsibility for staffing, budgets, or schedules What You'll BringBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license in Maryland preferred but not required20+ years of progressive land development civil engineering experienceExtensive knowledge of Maryland land development regulations and local jurisdiction requirementsStrong technical expertise in site development, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility, and roadway designProven ability to perform senior-level technical review and engineering analysisExcellent problem-solving skills and engineering judgmentCommitment to technical excellence and continuous improvement Why Join Soltesz?At Soltesz, we recognize that not every engineering leader wants to follow the traditional management path.
