Our facilities operate as Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) that offer:

• Long-term care: Support for residents needing ongoing skilled assistance and compassionate daily care.
• Short-term rehabilitation: Services for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury.
• Collaborative care: An interdisciplinary team approach involving nursing, therapy, and medical staff working in unison.

The patient demographics may vary slightly by facility. As a therapy professional, you will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve functional improvements and enhance their quality of life in a supportive, patient-focused setting.

Position Summary

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) delivers direct rehabilitation services in occupational therapy to patients based on physician referrals, under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT), while adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT)
• Preferred: One (1) year of experience in a post-acute care or similar environment
• Engagement in community health initiatives/projects as appropriate
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication
• Ability to liaise effectively with patients, families, and support departments
• Knowledge of practices, procedures, and regulations governing post-acute care facilities
• Implementation and interpretation of departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
• Competency in all relevant areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information
• Understanding and adherence to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
• Demonstration of integrity and professionalism by following the organization’s Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training
• Effective use of therapy software
• Exemplary customer service skills and a positive demeanor towards patients
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language
