Case Manager RN
Case Manager RN. Must have a nursing license in hand for auto offer. Shift times may vary, but will be one of the following: 0700-1530, 0730-1600, 0800-1630, or 0830-1700. First-timers accepted. No on-call requirement. Weekend coverage required: every other weekend or 4 weekend days in a 4-week schedule. Candidates may float within scope to meet facility needs. Local candidates not accepted; candidates' permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility. Only one time off request accepted per 13-week assignment, not exceeding 5 days. No holiday time off permitted for auto offer. Travelers can be called off for one 8-hour shift per 2 weeks. Type of facility: Acute hospital. Magnet facility, Level II trauma. Total staffed beds: 407. Charting system: Epic. BLS is preferred, not required. Additional Requirements: Must have experience in acute hospital case management. Behavioral health experience does not apply. Required to determine medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines. Preferred to have experience with CMS, continued stay reviews, and prior authorizations. Daily census averages 324 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Candidates must be willing to work two out of three major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. References required from prior supervisors covering the last year of experience. Travelers must separate from previous positions for a minimum period before being eligible for re-hire in a traveling capacity. Module completion is required pre-start and annually. Time spent on modules is self-reported. Completion recorded in training transcripts.
