Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an acute Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations (ages 18+)
• Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care with minimal supervision
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, bladder scanners, and Dynamaps
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner EHR
• Maintain patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 while managing a stressful, fast-paced environment
• Float occasionally to like units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and exercise appropriate clinical judgment independently

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience on a Medical/Surgical unit strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR system
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
