Risk Management Analyst

Breeze is hiring- join us! The Breeze Safety Risk Analyst is the focal point for risk management activities in the operation and across the organization. This role assists Divisional leaders in the administration of safety and risk management principles that assesses potential risks to ensure the safety of Team Members and operations. The Safety Risk Analyst actively participates in supporting and facilitating all aspects of regulatory compliance, risk management activities, analysis of reports, and projects. This person organizes and prepares safety presentations, identifies, tracks and communicates data and trends, and generates Divisional reports in addition to the safety duties as described below. Here’s what you’ll do Serves as the focal point (as assigned by the Manager SMS and ASAP) in leading regular risk assessments with Divisional leaders to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks. Assists with the administration of safety programs and the safety reporting system. Assist in the development and implementation of safety processes and procedures. Responsible for utilizing the safety reporting system for data analytics, identification and tracking trends, and mitigation follow up. Facilitates the use of safety data to raise awareness of operational risks, and application of corrective actions to mitigate those risks. Assists Divisional leaders and Team Members with risk management and analysis of data. Ensures quality of data entered within the SMS software is entered into correct modules. Supports the company accident, incident, hazard and injury reduction efforts by aiding in the development of proactive and educational safety programs. Track and trend monthly and yearly safety metrics for Divisional leadership monitoring. Assist in developing safety training materials and managing the safety program training records in Breeze software. Meet regularly with the Safety and Security team regarding safety issues, reporting, and compliance. Assist in ad-hoc Safety Department Projects as assigned by the Manager SMS and ASAP. Here’s what you need to be successful Aviation or other related industry-specific degree 3 years relevant work experience with emphasis on aviation management, statistical analysis, risk management and/or project management 3 years airline safety programs or airline operational experience 1 year experience with data analytics or working with safety data Working familiarity with federal regulations pertaining to U.S scheduled, domestic, air carrier operations Proficient in quantitative and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with little supervision Ability to quickly learn new software and programs through training and self-study Proven ability to build relationships both internally and externally Ability to work effectively with professionals from diverse technical areas Strong organizational and planning skills Experience with aviation reporting system and record keeping software Experience in using airline manuals and airline manual systems Available for occasional overnight travel Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 Preferred Qualifications 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent Experience working with SMS, airline safety data and processes OSHA experience OSHA 10 or 30 DOL Card 3+ years of experience with data analytics 3+ years of experience in airline operations Experience as an airline auditor, investigator, airline subject matter expert FAA license/certificate for Dispatch, A&P, Pilot or Flight Attendant Technical Skills/Abilities Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite required Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite preferred Skilled in data analytics and intelligence software High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility Soft Skills Exemplifies Breeze’s safety culture, values, and mission Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization Flexibility to work on ad-hoc projects Potential need to work flexible hours and be available on short-notice Able to maintain a professional appearance Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the Breeze culture Must promote and represent Breeze’s value of Safety as a safety ambassador, support Breeze’s SMS program, Safety Policy and behavioral standards Physical Demands & Working Conditions Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and operating standard office equipment Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching within an office environment Clear verbal and written communication, requiring adequate speech, hearing, and vision Perks of the Job Health, Vision and Dental – Full Time Health Savings Account with Breeze Employee Match 401K with Breeze Employee Match Generous PTO Travel on Breeze and other Airlines too!
