Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Corporate M&A and Private Equity Associate for its New York office. The role involves working on a wide range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, divestitures, joint ventures, buyouts, and portfolio company acquisitions.

Duties

• Engage in public and private mergers and acquisitions.
• Participate in spin-offs, divestitures, and joint ventures.
• Handle buyouts and take-private transactions.
• Conduct co-investments and portfolio company acquisitions and dispositions.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of large law firm experience in M&A and/or private equity transactions.
• Experience on both strategic and sponsor sides preferred.
• Strong candidates with a focus in either area will be considered.

Education

• Superior academic background required.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York.
