Practice Manager, Primary Care

Job Summary Mass General Brigham Medical Group, a system‑led operating entity, delivers primary and specialty care across Watertown and Westwood. The Practice Manager oversees day‑to‑day operations, manages staff, ensures compliance, and supports strategic goals for both locations. Essential Functions Oversee day‑to‑day administrative performance of secretarial and clinical support staff and manage staff schedules. Evaluate daily staffing needs and coordinate replacement of staff. Perform hiring, orientation, and evaluation of staff; administer corrective action when appropriate. Assist in career development of practice employees through coaching, counseling, and training. Ensure all mandatory training is completed and HIPAA policies and procedures are adhered to by staff. Evaluate, develop, and implement administrative systems and procedures designed to maximize practice operations; analyze practice performance metrics to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaborate with practice leaders on preparation of annual budgets. Oversee payroll, resolve payroll issues, and monitor patient billing activity to ensure compliance with revenue procedures. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree related field of study required; experience in lieu of a degree acceptable. Experience: 5–7 years supervisory experience required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 5–7 years experience working in a healthcare environment required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, including Excel. Strong communication and organizational skills. Strong and proven leadership skills. Ability to work with staff at all levels. Excellent time management skills. Strong analytical and math skills. Knowledge of accounting principles, physician billing, and revenue cycle management. Ability to adapt to multiple and rapidly changing priorities and deadlines. Job Details Work Location: 11 Mt.
