Step into a hands-on role where your mastery of manual machine tools, fabrication techniques, and maintenance know‑how keeps metal parts within tight tolerances and plant equipment running smoothly.

• Set up and operate manual machine tools to produce accurate parts.
• Machine new and used metal components to precise dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform layout work directly from blueprints, sketches, and templates.
• Calculate dimensions, tapers, feeds, speeds, and overall machining requirements before cutting.
• Make and repair as required to support production and maintenance needs.
• Dismantle, assemble, align, and repair plant equipment with care and accuracy.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, levels, and protractors to verify quality.
• Operate cranes and mobile equipment safely when lifting or moving workpieces.
• Complete all required reports and documentation to close out each job.

• Strong manual machining and lathe operation experience.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation for accurate layouts.
• Precision measurement and inspection capability.
• Machine setup and troubleshooting expertise.
• Plant maintenance and equipment repair background.
• Fabrication and fitting work skills.
• Metalworking with steel, iron, brass, alloys, castings, forgings, and bar stock.
• Comfort with close tolerance machining.
• Safe operation of cranes and shop equipment.
