Product Manager, System Apps

About the position As a member of our Worldwide Product Marketing group, you will represent customers throughout a product line’s journey from concept through development and launch. You’ll develop and apply insights to help infuse innovative features into our product development process. Together with our team, we will work to craft groundbreaking ideas into tangible products that excite the world! At Apple, we combine product management/development and product marketing responsibilities into a single, cross functional Product Management role that collaborates with design, engineering, finance, legal, marketing communications, public relations, market research, sales and support for maximum impact across the organization. Responsibilities Represent customers throughout a product line’s journey from concept through development and launch. Develop and apply insights to help infuse innovative features into our product development process. Craft groundbreaking ideas into tangible products. Collaborate with design, engineering, finance, legal, marketing communications, public relations, market research, sales and support. Focus on system apps spanning iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Formulate product messaging and create outbound marketing for both technical and consumer audiences. Partner with engineering during early research and development to define product strategy and roadmap. Work with marketing and public relations to craft positioning and define marketing activities. Drive communication with key stakeholders, the media, and public. Develop keynote addresses in an area of deep subject matter expertise. Synthesize information, apply critical thinking and maintain composure under pressure. Become fluent in technical concepts and explain to non-technical partners. Lead through influence, debate and storytelling. Build consensus. Handle high stakes decisions with ease. Cut through ambiguity. Operate seamlessly between highly detailed and technical situations and strategic business situations. Serve as a product spokesperson on a national or global level. Requirements 4+ years experience in product marketing and/or product management roles, including at least one entire product development cycle from concept to launch. Hands-on experience formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing for both technical and consumer audiences, and/or partnering with engineering during early research and development to define product strategy and roadmap, and with marketing and public relations to craft positioning, and define marketing activities. Recent experience within the last 3 years in one or more of the following software segments: consumer apps (productivity, utility, creativity), app frameworks, or consumer OS experiences. Ability to drive communication with key stakeholders, the media, and public, as demonstrated by exceptional presentation skills. Developing keynote addresses in an area of deep subject matter expertise. Synthesizing information. Applying critical thinking. Maintaining composure under pressure.
