Senior Data EngineerWe are currently seeking a dynamic, motivated, and highly experienced individual for the position of Senior Data Engineer. This role is responsible for the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale data infrastructure and pipelines. With deep technical expertise and over a decade of experience, the ideal candidate will support engineering strategy, ensure data platform scalability, and deliver high-quality data solutions. This individual excels in technical execution, ensuring data is accessible, reliable, and secure across the organization. This is a 12-month W2 contract position.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign scalable systems and build complex, end-to-end ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to move data from various sources to data warehouses.Enforce strict data quality standards and ensure all system designs meet security compliance requirements.Mentor junior engineers and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.Continuously monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and databases to improve processing speed, scalability, and cost-efficiency.Ensure implemented data products meet the vision and goals of data consumers.Enforce and adhere to best practices for technical documentation related to architecture, transformation logic, and coding standards.Experience and EducationRequired Qualifications10+ years of experience as a Data Engineer working directly with Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, ELT/ETL, and Data Pipelines.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.Experience with BigQuery or Amazon Redshift.Experience with Apache Airflow and dbt.Must be U.S.-based and work within the Eastern or Central Time Zone.Fluent in English.Preferred Qualifications15+ years of Data Engineering experience.Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.Experience optimizing enterprise-scale data pipelines.Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.Experience with BI tools such as Tableau.
