Job Title Certified Medical Assistant – Relief Location Grandview, WA Employment Duration Part time Employee Status Non‑exempt Relocation No ID 16839 Job Summary Join our team as a Relief Certified Medical Assistant at Grandview Medical‑Dental Clinic in Grandview, WA. The Clinic operates Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on 10‑hour shifts, and requires flexibility to float to other clinics in the region as needed. Position Highlights 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) EMR system is EPIC $21.23–$31.26/hour DOE Additional pay for bilingual skills, paid on hours worked What You’ll Do Maintain patient medical records, update patient history, vital signs, treatments, medication, and immunization records. Prepare for patient visits by reviewing files, labs, referrals, and correspondence; verify all necessary reports are present. Collaborate with Providers to ensure efficient scheduling and continuity of care, discussing daily patient schedules. Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring supplies and sterilized equipment are available. Prepare patients for examinations and explain treatment procedures. Provide brief education or coaching within scope, including discharge information and medication instructions. Respond to patient questions in person and via email, directing inquiries outside scope to appropriate personnel. Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, treatments, and minor office surgeries. Anticipate Providers’ needs and manage their requests. Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, complete screenings, follow up on test results, and document findings in EMR. Prepare and administer medication as directed by a physician. Perform clinical duties aligned with The Joint Commission, HRSA, and YVFWC requirements. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED accredited by an agency approved by the U.S. Department of Education. Completion of an accredited medical assisting training program (≥720 hours total, including ≥160 hours clinical externship) from CAAHEP or ABHES. Washington State Medical Assistant Certification or Interim Certification. CPR certification within 90 days of hire and ongoing maintenance. Spanish‑speaking skills at level 10. Solid medical knowledge and ability to understand medical theories and technical aspects. Excellent interpersonal skills for diverse patient interactions. Strong multi‑tasking ability to handle a fast‑paced environment. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Epic, and EMR.
