Responsibilities
- Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians.
- Positions and instructs patients prior to examination to ensure proper alignment and comfort.
- Adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph.
- Ensures image quality and safety: follows radiation safety standards and infection control guidelines; verifies patient information and exam requisitions; documents imaging results.
- Reviews radiographs for image quality and repeats only when clinically indicated and under safety guidelines.
- Documents patient history and exam specifics in the radiology information system; ensures proper labeling and storage of images.

Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist license or eligibility to practice in Oregon, per state requirements.
- ARRT certification (or equivalent) as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Proficient in operating x-ray equipment and performing radiographic procedures with proper patient positioning and exposure parameters.
- Ability to work evenings and 12-hour shift schedule in a travel assignment.
- Strong communication skills; commitment to safety, patient comfort, and quality standards.
