Senior Accounting Associate

Salary $65,000-$70,000 Job Title: Senior Accounting Associate Job # 5812 Location: Albany, NY Category: Accounting/Construction Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Description Our client is currently seeking a Senior Accounting Associate to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position. Responsibilities Prepare and send client invoices, manage incoming payments by creating deposits and posting them to the system, and maintain accurate project files for invoices and payments. Process subcontractor invoices, review vendor statements to resolve discrepancies, and support the AP team as needed. Review daily time in the timekeeper system and input weekly payroll for multiple companies into Sage 100 Contractor. Manage payroll tax filings, including federal and state taxes, 401(k) allocations, and union dues. Perform monthly bank reconciliations, handle monthly sales and use tax filings, and assist in annual highway use tax filings. Assist in audit preparations by compiling necessary reports, journal transactions, and ensuring accurate job cost and general ledger accounting. Qualifications Proficiency with Sage 100 Contractor and other accounting software. Proficiency in in-house payroll processing. Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, Publisher, and Adobe. Previous experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and tax filing. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
