Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Azure Infrastructure, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) & Terraform Contractor for an onsite contract opportunity.

Job Title: Azure Infra, AVD & Terraform – Contractor

Location: Overland Park, KS or Cary, NC

Work Arrangement: Onsite, 4 days per week

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled cloud infrastructure professional with strong hands-on experience in Azure infrastructure, AWS services, Azure Virtual Desktop, and cloud solution architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, configure, and troubleshoot Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure solutions.
Manage and deploy AWS infrastructure services and Azure cloud resources.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure and AWS services.
Configure and maintain Azure profiles, subscriptions, and cloud environments.
Set up and manage private and public cloud environments.
Balance and deploy workloads while optimizing cloud performance and costs.
Design and manage swap space within cloud environments.
Ensure cloud infrastructure security, scalability, reliability, and availability.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines.
Deploy, maintain, monitor, and optimize Azure infrastructure.
Support cloud architecture design and infrastructure improvements.
Work with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of overall IT experience, including Azure and/or AWS.
4+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure experience, including implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, research, and solution design.
Strong experience managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with GCP and OCI.
Experience working in federal cloud environments is a significant plus.
