About the Company
Plymouth Spring Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer / Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong engineering background and experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment, preferably metal or spring manufacturing.
About the Role
This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations based on customer drawings, specifications, and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations based on customer drawings, specifications, and requirements
- Analyze materials, labor, tooling, and production processes to determine pricing
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure feasible and competitive bids
- Review customer RFQs and technical documentation
- Assist with process improvement, cost reduction initiatives, and engineering support as needed
- Maintain estimating databases and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
- Experience in estimating and/or manufacturing engineering (spring or metal fabrication experience a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
