Medical Strategist

Abbott seeks a Medical Strategist to develop integrated medical strategies for the Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score product. The role bridges clinical evidence, stakeholder insights, and market needs to inform medical priorities, coordinate evidence generation, and support commercialization efforts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated medical strategies aligned with product development and commercialization goals
• Facilitate regular medical strategy meetings to align cross-functional initiatives and business priorities
• Coordinate evidence generation planning, KOL engagement, and advisory board execution
• Translate clinical data into medical messaging for marketing, sales training, and launch support
• Assess product landscape for evidentiary gaps and opportunities; plan annual innovation sessions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in relevant life sciences discipline
• 7+ years medical strategy, medical affairs, or related experience in biotech/pharma/diagnostics
• Strong clinical or scientific background in oncology; breast cancer experience preferred
• Advanced degree in life sciences, molecular biology, business, or related field (preferred)
• Experience in matrixed environments, leading through influence, cross-functional coordination
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management platforms
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

Compensation: $99,300.00 – $198,700.00 base
