Production Planner

Company: Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc (USA) Job Summary The Production Planner is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the production process. The Production Planner has a specific focus on the materials and goods required in the production phase and works closely with Production stakeholders and functions to ensure everything runs smoothly without delays. Area of Responsibility Drive daily weekly and monthly production planning meetings. Track and publish production reports on a daily basis. Follow up with cross–function teams to ensure the production plan is executed as per plan. Maintain a database for production numbers. Analyse data to identify areas of improvement. Customise dashboards for generating automatic reports. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports. Ensure preventive maintenance and calibrations of production equipment are incorporated into the monthly planning. Work with SCM/Finance for data analysis. Ensure “Commit vs. Supply” data is published daily. Work Conditions Corporate office environment and warehouse environment. The production area is a manufacturing/production environment with typical environmental hazards such as noise, fumes, odors, gases, dust, and potential mechanical hazards. Physical Requirements Regular use of hands and routine standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, pushing, and bending. Ability to bend, lift, move, and/or carry up to 20 pounds. Capacity to navigate office, lab, and plant floor environments. Ability to wear applicable personal protective equipment such as respirators, safety glasses/goggles, and safety shoes. Education and Job Qualification High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint). SAP knowledge preferred. Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. A self‑starter with a hands‑on approach and can‑do attitude. Team‑building champion driving innovative cross‑functional synergies. Excellent project management and problem‑solving skills. Intermediate B1+ English language proficiency. Experience Minimum two years in a planning function, preferably in Pharma (OTC/Nutra/Rx/Gx or any business) or Cosmetics. Experience handling a high number of SKUs. Compensation & Benefits The base compensation range for this position is $79,000 to $87,500, subject to location and experience. The role is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan.
