The manager spends a few hours going through orientation and detailed walkthrough of EPIC. Candidates are paired with a therapist to learn EPIC and work as a scribe. They do not start seeing patients until day 3. The first week, they have 50% caseload (one patient scheduled every hour). By the middle of the second week, we spread that out to two patients and a blocked spot. By the middle of the third week, they have three consecutive patients, then a blocked spot. By week 4, they have a full schedule, without any double books. They usually add double books by week five.
