Oklo is searching for a Senior Facilities Manager to join our team.

Oklo is hiring a Senior Facilities Manager to lead facility operations across our offices, laboratories, warehouses, test facilities, and other non-reactor spaces. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing day-to-day facility needs, projects, vendors, and requests while establishing consistent company-wide practices.

The Senior Facilities Manager will maintain visibility across Oklo's facilities, identify capacity and infrastructure needs, and coordinate expansions, moves, and new locations. This person will initially serve as the primary individual contributor, using vendors and local site contacts as appropriate and recommending additional support as the portfolio grows.

The Senior Facilities Manager owns Oklo's facilities systems and supports physical material operations while coordinating with each function's designated authority. The role focuses on non-reactor corporate and operational facilities and is separate from Aurora powerhouse development, design, and construction.

Specific responsibilities may include:

Facilities Portfolio Real Estate and Space Planning

• Maintain an accurate portfolio of facility use, capacity, constraints, lease terms, costs, and planned changes.
• Establish an intake and decision process for new space, expansions, moves, and facility modifications.
• Translate business needs into facility plans and support site searches, due diligence, lease activity, landlord relationships, and facility exits with Legal and Finance.
• Assess facilities options to meet Oklo needs in various geographies including but not limited to short vs long term leasing, use of options such as but not limited to WeWork vs other solutions, etc.

Facility Operations and Projects

• Serve as the primary contact for facility needs and coordinate resolution through local teams, vendors, contractors, and landlords.
• Support maintenance, repairs, utilities, inspections, service contracts, workplace needs, and other recurring operations.
• Manage facility openings, moves, tenant improvements, and modifications with internal and external partners.
• Coordinate insurance, IT, cybersecurity, Security, EHS, Quality, and operational requirements throughout each facility's lifecycle.
• Establish practical standards for preventive maintenance, emergency procedures, compliance, records, and service levels.

Business Management and Cross Functional Coordination

• Own facilities processes, tools, records, standards, and performance measures.
• Develop operating and capital plans and manage budgets, forecasts, contracts, vendors, and service providers.
• Identify risks, recommend practical solutions, and manage approved actions through implementation.
• Monitor workload and recommend additional staffing or local support when justified.

Receiving Storage and Logistics Support

• Partner with Procurement, Engineering, and site teams to support receiving, storage, material handling, and shipping.
• Coordinate with Quality, EHS, and Security on requirements for controlled, hazardous, sensitive, or high-value materials.
• Help resolve facility issues affecting material flow, storage capacity, or on-site logistics.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in facilities, workplace operations, construction management, industrial operations, warehousing, logistics, or a related function.
• Experience supporting a multi-site portfolio that includes laboratories, warehouses, test facilities, light industrial space, or advanced manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with facility operations, vendors, maintenance, moves, tenant improvements, leases, landlords, and service contracts.
• Experience managing budgets, capital plans, forecasts, and facility or space decisions.
• Ability to establish scalable practices, work across functions, communicate with executives, and operate effectively in changing conditions.
• Ability and willingness to travel among Oklo facilities and prospective locations.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience in nuclear, aerospace, energy, advanced manufacturing, research laboratories, defense, semiconductor, or another regulated or technically complex industry.
• Experience establishing a facilities or site-operations function in a growing organization.
• Familiarity with facilities, work-order, inventory, warehouse-management, enterprise resource planning, or space-planning systems.
• Experience supporting controlled materials or improving receiving, inventory, storage, handling, and shipping processes.
• Relevant credentials in facilities, construction, project management, safety, or supply chain.

About Oklo travel requirements: Oklo requires remote employees to travel to headquarters (Santa Clara, CA) twice a quarter annually, based on business or team needs, including attendance at team meetings, off-sites, and other company events or gatherings. For the first two weeks of onboarding, employees are required to be in person at headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.

About Oklo compensation: Salary: $140,000 - $180,000. Oklo offers flexible time off, equity, bonuses, competitive pay, 401(k), health insurance (with employer contribution), HSA, FSA, flexible work hours, wellness credits, and other benefits.
