Senior Python Developer

Salary: $42,000 - 70,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–6 years of hands-on Python experience in data processing and automation, including tools such as pandas, packaging, and testing.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and ETL/ELT approaches, with experience developing maintainable pipelines.
• Experience implementing data-quality checks and operational monitoring to support accuracy and timeliness goals.
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows and CI/CD, and familiarity with production change management.
• Ability to own projects or features, coordinate across teams, and deliver on schedule.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with risk and business stakeholders.

• Design and build Python-based Market Risk data pipelines, from data ingestion and transformation through delivery to analytics users.
• Manage projects and features from start to finish, including scoping work, stakeholder alignment, sprint planning, progress tracking, and delivery against SLAs.
• Apply data-quality controls such as validation, reconciliation, and lineage checks, and monitor SLAs for accuracy and timeliness.
• Profile and optimize batch and near-real-time workflows to improve performance and reliability.
• Turn risk and business needs into technical tasks and deliver features through Agile sprints.
• Automate routine processes, including packaging, testing, CI/CD, and scheduling, and contribute to coding standards and code reviews.
• Support production systems, help resolve incidents, and document solutions and runbooks.
• Prepare concise technical documentation, share knowledge with the team, and mentor junior engineers when needed.
