ECHOCARDIOGRAPHER PRN

Position Overview Cardiac Sonographer working in the Department of EKG/Cardiology. Shift schedule: PRN (as needed) night shift; on call from 11 pm to 7 am. Summary Shift needed: on call 11 pm - 7 am. Position Highlights The Cardiac Sonographer provides diagnostic medical sonography services across various clinical specialties. Additional duties include maintaining proficiency with echo/ultrasound equipment, communicating with interprofessional care team members, completing clerical tasks, and providing on‑call coverage as scheduled. The role serves as an ambassador for the department and center, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic medical sonography services across clinical specialties. Maintain proficiency with echo/ultrasound equipment. Communicate with interprofessional care team members. Completing additional clerical tasks. Credentials and Qualifications Current BLS required. RSCS/RCS certified. Successful completion of an echocardiography/cardiovascular education program. Experience with transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, bubble studies, and administration of contrast-enhancing agents.
