Cardiovascular Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift
This is a 13-week contract position.
Nights, 12 hours, with a 36-hour guarantee per week.
The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. As a vital member of the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU), you will care for over 4000 cardiology patients annually, supporting procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers. You will also manage the care of approximately 300 open heart surgery patients during their initial post-operative period.
Provide nursing care to cardiology patients, including pre- and post-operative care.
Conduct assessments and develop patient care plans.
Manage and monitor patients with congestive heart failure and those undergoing electrophysiology studies.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Participate in clinical trials managed by the research department.
Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience (floating not considered).
EKG experience required.
Must be willing to float to similar units such as Neuro, CVICU, and Trauma (preferred).
Experience managing ventilators, CRRT, and balloon pumps is a plus (preferred).
Current Michigan RN license is required.
ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
