Exploration Geologist

Job Description

Exploration Geologist | Remote + Field Work | Full-time, Direct-Hire | Mining

We're partnering with a growing exploration company to find a Mid-to-Senior Exploration Geologist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a field-focused geologist who wants to play a key role in advancing mineral exploration projects across the Western US.

About the Role:

This is a remote-based position with significant field rotations focused primarily in Nevada, with potential work extending into surrounding states (OR, ID, UT, AZ, and occasionally NM/CO/CA). Field rotations follow a 10-on/4-off or 15-on/7-off schedule, with quarterly travel to the company's Colorado office.

What You'll Do:

\n
• Conduct field exploration activities including geological mapping, outcrop and rock chip sampling, soil geochemistry, and structural analysis to identify and characterize mineralized targets
\n
• Manage and interpret drill programs, including core/RC logging, sample QA/QC, and integration of assay results into geological models
\n
• Analyze and synthesize geochemical, geophysical, and geological datasets to generate and prioritize drill targets
\n
• Support regulatory, permitting, and technical reporting requirements while maintaining accurate field documentation
\n

What We're Looking For:

\n
• 5-15 years of experience in mineral exploration, ideally with a gold-focused background
\n
• Strong field exploration skill set with a genuine passion for boots-on-the-ground work
\n
• Comfort with extended field rotations and remote work environments
\n
• Experience across various deposit styles and exploration techniques is a plus
\n

Compensation & Benefits:

\n
• Base salary: Depends on experience.
\n
• Annual cash bonus: 20-35% of base salary, tied to individual and company performance
\n
• One-time stock option grant upon starting
\n
• 3-4 weeks PTO
\n
• Company vehicle provided for work use (truck based in Reno), with mileage/travel expenses covered
\n

If you're an experienced exploration geologist looking for a hands-on role with real ownership over target generation and field programs, we'd love to hear from you.
