Director Of OperationsWe are seeking a Director of Operations to build and lead our construction delivery organization at Tarkett Sports Construction, Mid Atlantic. Help us build the next world-class venue.What You'll DoProject Delivery & ExecutionManage all construction projects from GMP negotiation through closeoutManage buyout, subcontractor procurement, and change order processesOwn project schedule, budget, and cost-to-complete forecastingDrive project-level P&L — deliver at or above bid marginManage preconstruction-to-construction handoffsServe as primary client-facing delivery leader for owners from NTP through warrantySupport Go/No-Go decisions and pursuit strategy with delivery credibilityTeam Build & LeadershipRecruit, hire, and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project EngineersBuild a bench capable of running multiple concurrent projects without VP involvement on every jobEstablish operating cadence with peer leaders (Self-Perform, Preconstruction, Sales)Report to the RVP on delivery performance, org build progress, and risk exposureSystems, Processes & TrainingDesign and document project delivery SOPs — from project setup and kickoff through closeoutStand up project controls: cost reporting, WIP schedules, earned value tracking, monthly reviewsImplement Procore workflows and train the team on RFI, submittal, QC, daily log, and drawing managementDevelop QA/QC programs with standardized inspection checklists and hold pointsBuild repeatable, auditable subcontractor procurement and buyout processesCreate project reporting templates (cost reports, schedule narratives, risk registers) as the regional standardTrain new hires and existing staff on all delivery systems — adoption is as important as designSafety & ComplianceDrive zero-recordable safety culture on all construction projectsEnsure full compliance with TSP safety standards and OSHA requirementsWhat You Need For SuccessExperience15+ years in construction project management, 5+ years at Project Executive or senior PM levelMust be GC-side experience at a commercial general contractor — not owner's rep or CM advisorProjects in the $20M–$75M+ range under GMP, Cost-Plus, or CM-at-Risk deliveryInstitutional sectors: K-12, higher ed, municipal, healthcare, or sports/recreation facilitiesBuilt and led project teams — hired PMs and Supers, not just inherited themImplemented project delivery systems and trained teams on new processesTechnical SkillsCPM scheduling (P6 or equivalent), cost reporting, WIP preparation, earned value analysisProcore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office SuiteSage, Spectrum, or equivalent construction ERP experience preferredDeep knowledge of the Texas construction market — subs, owners, permitting, competitionEducation & CertificationsBachelor's degree or extensive experience in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related fieldMBA or advanced degree a plusOSHA 30-Hour required; CCM, PMP, or DBIA certifications a plusOtherStrong communication and client relationship skills — owner-facing from day oneTravel across Mid Atlantic region as projects requireWhat You Can ExpectA culture built on teamwork, respect, and entrepreneurial spiritThe opportunity to build a construction delivery organization from scratch with full regional leadership supportA seat at the leadership table with direct influence on strategy, growth, and operationsCompetitive compensation: base salary, performance incentive, vehicle allowance, and milestone-based retention bonusLeadership that invests in your growth and career developmentA fast-paced, sports-driven environment where your work builds world-class venuesSounds like your kind of team?If you're ready to bring your passion and talent to a company that champions your future, we want to hear from you.
