Epiphany Center provides trauma-informed, family-centered services that support children and families as they build stability, strengthen parenting skills, and connect with resources that support their well-being.

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Family Support Specialist to join our In-Home Services team. This role provides parenting education and support to families with children ages 0–5 in their homes throughout San Francisco, using the evidence-based SafeCare® model.

What You’ll Do

• Provide in-home parenting education and family support services to an assigned caseload.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments of family needs, household conditions, health and safety practices, and parent-child interactions.
• Develop individualized service plans identifying family goals, support strategies, and community resources.
• Teach parents preventive child health practices, home safety, and positive parent-child interaction strategies.
• Use structured observations, assessments, and program tools to monitor family progress.
• Help families address challenges through structured problem-solving and supportive coaching.
• Connect families with community resources and services.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records of home visits and client interactions.
• Participate in SafeCare® training, case consultations, team meetings, and professional development.
• Follow agency safety procedures and report potential safety concerns.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Compensation & Benefits

$28.00–$31.00 per hour. 

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science from an accredited institution.
• Experience performing social services-related responsibilities.
• Valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Comfort providing services in families’ homes and working with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication, documentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to successfully complete SafeCare® training following hire.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
• Ability to meet applicable agency employment requirements, including background clearances and TB screening.

Preferred: Previous experience working directly with families, particularly those with young children.
