Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including clinics, inpatient facilities, and outpatient environments. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients, particularly in geriatrics and trauma care settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
• Monitor patient health by observing changes in condition and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals.
• Help with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety during transfers.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings such as teaching hospitals, Level I and II Trauma Centers, ORs, and PICUs to deliver comprehensive care.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with healthcare settings including clinics, inpatient units, outpatient services, hospital medicine, geriatrics, and trauma care is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
• Must be able to pass background checks and comply with health regulations as required by the facility.
